Great guesthouse in Osaka!
We had an amazing experience staying at this guesthouse in Osaka! The location was perfect, with easy access to the subway and close to popular tourist spots like Den Den Town. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even speaking multiple languages. The shower rooms were spotlessly clean, which was a big plus. While it took a bit of effort to find the guesthouse initially, the directions provided were clear and we managed just fine. we highly recommend this guesthouse for its affordability, excellent service, and convenient location.

I recently stayed at Backpackers Toyo in Osaka for 3 nights. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, speaking English fluently. They provided clear instructions on how to lock the doors and offered a secure and comfortable stay. The location was conveniently close to both the JR station and the metro, making it easy to explore the city. The shared shower rooms provided privacy and were well-maintained, while the common room was a great place to meet fellow travelers. a fantastic experience at a bargain price.
Would recommend this hotel.

Next door to and run by the same people as Taiyo but a little more down market. Great transport links and so very cheap with a friendly common room - but it was the worst pillow I have ever tried to and given up on sleeping with - it was horrible - gave up and used my jacket. Amenities clean - remember the word backpacker means no towel or yakuta - so stay at Taiyo 40 meters away for 300 yen more.
The pillow was horrible and I never whinge about stuff like that.

The personell of Toyo gave me good tips about sightseeing in Osaka. The common room is visited a lot by a lot of people. So you can connect faster.
On the third floor were no western style toilets.

The hotel had a great location, close to public transportation and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. It was easy to navigate around and explore the city. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful recommendations. the rooms and toilets were clean and well-maintained.
That the hotel lacked air conditioning, making the room extremely cold during my stay. I had to sleep with my jacket on to keep warm.

Great location, just a short walk from the train station. Very convenient for getting around. The communal living area was excellent, with plenty of space and amenities like a fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, which was a nice change. a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The toilets had a persistent smell that was quite unpleasant. It would have been nice if they were kept cleaner and had more fresheners.
